On June 30, 2022, the driver of the “Yandex” taxi service forced two trans people to get out of the taxi with threats of violence and death on Abovyan Street in Yerevan, cursed in the presence of many people and attacked the trans people with an object in the car that was used as a cold weapon, saying, that people like them should be killed and burned, but trans people managed to leave the venue and turn to the police.

Having hooligan motives, the driver created a real danger for the life and health of two trans people and with his outrageous behavior disrupted the rules of social coexistence.

The Right Side HRD NGO will pursue that the driver of “Yandex” taxi service be punished in accordance with the procedure established by the RA Criminal Code and that such cases be excluded.
