On November 3, 2020, Lilit Martirosyan, the Founder and President of the “Right Side” Human Rights Defender NGO had a speech during the international seminar organized within the frameworks of the regional project “Strengthening the access to justice through non-judicial redress mechanisms for victims of discrimination, hate crime and hate speech in Eastern Partnership countries” financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe. In her speech, L. Martirosyan particularly referred to the hate speech and gender-based violence against Trans LGBIQ people in Armenia, emphasized that the “Right Side” Human Rights Defender NGO, as a pioneer in the field of preventing hate crimes, gave a big importance to the role of the international community in that matter and to the need for joint efforts.
