“Right Side” Human Rights Defender NGO, expanding its work to improve the quality of life of LGBTQI people, implements a regional project with “Tbilisi Pride” Non Entrepreneurial Legal Entity  and HPLGBT Non-Governmental Organization for the first time. This project is funded by the German Marshall Fund of the United States.

The goal of the project is to to build the capacity of LGBTQI people on activism for human rights and fundamental freedoms, raise their knowledge on advocacy and leadership skills for combatting hate speech, hate crime and discrimination, provide them with campaigning mechanisms for the safety and well-being of the community, and promote a stronger LGBT movement for increasing equality and democratic values in the region.

During the project, a series of seminars and workshops with LGBTQI people and NGO representatives will be held in three countries (Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine), 3 social videos will be produced and a new manual in 4 languages on LGBTQI activism will be published.

The”Right Side” Human Rights Defender NGO, being the first Trans organization in Armenia and the Caucasus, pays a great attention to international cooperation, and it will do its utmost to ensure that transgender LGBIQ people live a harmonious and secure life.
