“Right Side” Human Rights Defender NGO organizes annual trans-camp for trans community and trans-activists from March 1-3, 2020. The following topics will be discussed during the camp:
Human Rights
Stigma, Discrimination
Hate Crimes and Hate Speech
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
Situation of Trans People in Armenia
Advocacy.
The Camp aims at improving the capacity of the transgender community and improving transgender community’s involvement in political, social, cultural and public life, contribute to the reduction of stigma and discrimination in the families of trans people.
Eligibility
People above the age of 18 who consider themselves as trans-activists or trans people, their parents and family members.
Participation of refugees, asylum seekers, stateless people or people with disabilities and sex workers is encouraged.
The transportation, accommodation and meals are covered by the “Right Side” Human Rights Defender NGO.
The number of participants is limited. Application deadline is February 25, 2020, at 23:59 o’clock Yerevan time.
The camp will be held in one of the recreation zones of Armenia: information about the place will be only provided to the selected participants.
