The Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO, with the financial support of the Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights, launches the “LGBTQI People for a Favorable Climate” project, which aims to promote the protection of the environment in Armenia by raising the awareness level of LGBTIQ people about the effective and rational use of natural resources and promoting their activism in this issue.
Within the framework of this project, we are pleased to announce a call for participation in the “LBTIQ People Act for Change” course. During the course, 20 Trans LGBIQ people will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about waste sorting, the impact of hazardous waste, pollution reduction, recycling, alternative energy sources, environmental ethics, ecosystem protection though non-formal education, they will gain advocacy skills for environmental protection and promotion of gender justice.
The training is open to all the Trans LGBIQ people living in Yerevan or one of the regions of Armenia, who are ready to be involved in the processes of climate change prevention and gender equality. The participants successfully completing the training will be involved in the activities to be carried out by the organization for the protection of the environment, will participate in the processes of tree planting, garbage collection and installation of eco bins in Yerevan and different regions of Armenia.
The competition for participation in the course consists of 2 rounds. Based on the application, the participants who are successful in the first stage will be invited for an online interview, and then the selection results will be notified.
A CERTIFICATE WILL BE GIVEN AT THE END OF PARTICIPATION.
