Education

One of the strategic goals of the Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO is to create educational and capacity-building opportunities for trans, LGBIQ, and sex worker communities, as well as their supporters and family members. To achieve this, the organisation has been conducting training, meetings, seminars, academies, and publishing research and educational materials for many years. Based on the communities’ evolving needs and priorities, the organisation regularly carries out needs assessments that inform the development of future programs.
Right Side NGO organises courses, training academies, camps, and educational events aimed at community empowerment, focusing on topics such as human rights, health, leadership, anti-corruption, and sexuality. It also provides non-formal and vocational education, including English, digital security, graphic design, hairdressing, manicure, clothing design, and photography.
In addition to offering direct educational services, the organisation works to improve access to inclusive education. This includes collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports to deliver awareness-raising training on trans, LGBIQ, and sex worker rights to teaching staff, with the aim of fostering equal participation of community members in educational settings.
Information about educational opportunities is shared through the organisation’s social media channels. To participate, beneficiaries must fill out an application form or contact the organisation’s community outreach worker.
