Perpetrators of Robbery Identified

On June 10, 2025, a trans person, H.A., contacted the "Right Side" Human Rights Defender NGO and reported that during the early hours of the previous night - around 3:00 a.m. - they were physically assaulted in Yerevan’s English Park by a group of unknown individuals, reportedly citizens of the Republic of India. The assailants stole their bag, mobile phone, and cash. Following this incident, H.A. filed an official crime report.

A criminal case was subsequently initiated by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia under Article 195, Part 2, Clause 5 and Article 252, Part 1 of the Criminal Code.

The organization’s lawyer immediately got involved in the case as H.A.’s legal representative. Together, they participated in multiple investigative procedures.

As a result of the investigative and procedural actions, four individuals were identified and placed in pre-trial detention by a court decision. One additional suspect remains wanted. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
