Meeting on the development of the Human Rights Protection Strategy of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia

On September 13 and 18 of this year, Lilit Martirosyan, President of the Right-wing Human Rights NGO, and A. Gevorgyan, Program Manager, participated in the DISCUSSION ORGANIZED BY THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF THE RA ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW NATIONAL STRATEGY FOR THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE PROGRAM OF ACTIONS RESULTING FROM IT.

The discussion on the first day was aimed at analyzing the current situation in the areas of ensuring equality before the law, protecting the rights of vulnerable groups (children's rights, women's rights, rights of persons with disabilities, etc.), and mapping problems.

The discussion on the second day was aimed at analyzing the current situation in the areas of social, educational, labor rights, health protection, environmental protection, economy and economic competition protection, and mapping problems.

During the first and second days, Lilit Martirosyan and A. Gevorgyan presented the problems of transgender people in various fields, particularly in the educational sector, healthcare, social sector, and other sectors.
