Lilit Martirosyan Was Elected Chair of the SWAN Board

Lilit Martirosyan, founder and president of Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO, has been elected Chair of the Board of SWAN – the Sex Workers’ Rights Advocacy Network. SWAN is a sex worker-led regional network operating in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It advocates for the human rights of female, male, and transgender sex workers and recognises their right to self-determination, health, and decision-making. The Board, composed of sex worker representatives from different regions and countries, is responsible for strategic planning and guiding the network’s direction.

Right Side, based in Armenia, is a proud member of SWAN and the main voice of the sex worker community in the country. The organisation leads advocacy and provides essential, needs-based services, including legal, social, financial, and psychological support. This collaboration marks an important step forward and will strengthen efforts to advance the rights and well-being of sex workers across the region
