Open call for participation in the trans and LGBTIQ solidarity forum

The Human Rights NGO “Iravunk Part” is pleased to announce that with the financial support of ILGA Europe, the Trans and LGBTIQ Solidarity Online Forum will be held on July 3. This event aims to bring together representatives of the Trans and LGBTIQ community in Armenia and Trans activists from the West and Central Asian regions to promote the exchange of experience and knowledge and strengthen solidarity among LGBTIQ people.

Who can participate?

Trans and LGBTIQ people, representatives of organizations operating in the field, sex workers, activists and people interested in the topic from all regions of Armenia and other countries in the region can participate in the Trans and LGBTIQ Solidarity Online Forum. The working language of the forum is English, which will be accompanied by Armenian translation. To participate, please fill out the following form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JSTTQP6.

The Trans and LGBTQ Solidarity Forum will feature speakers from the Middle East and Central Asia who will share their experiences in advocating for Trans and LGBTQ rights, presenting the specifics of each country’s approach to protecting Trans and LGBTQ rights. The event will also include an interactive Q&A session that will allow participants to engage directly with the speakers and get answers to their questions.

The Human Rights NGO "Rights Side" hopes that by learning about the perspectives and journeys of different trans activists, participants will improve their understanding of trans and LGBTQ activism in different regions, and the forum will serve as a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and learning from each other's activism. We believe that by coming together and learning from each other, we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all LGBTQ people.
