“Rise & Resonate: Influencers’ Meeting”

Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO organized an educational meeting aimed at providing beginner LGBTIQ+ influencers with the necessary knowledge and tools to make community stories heard, increase visibility in the public sphere, and effectively respond to anti-gender propaganda.
Eight influencers from different regions of Armenia took part in the meeting. They had the opportunity to delve into the history of the LGBTIQ+ movement, explore anti-gender movements and strategies for countering them, as well as learn effective ways to respond to hate speech on social media.
Participants learned about:
- The history of the LGBTIQ movement and its key milestones,
- The principle of intersectionality—how different forms of oppression intersect,
- Tools for responding to hate speech on social media in a competent and effective manner.
Special attention was given to practical exercises, during which the influencers developed their first pieces of content. They also discussed what language and style are most impactful when communicating with an audience and explored the specific features of different media platforms.
Beyond professional knowledge, the meeting created an atmosphere of trust, where participants shared personal experiences and emotions. For many, this also became an important experience of self-expression, giving them the confidence to voice their stories.
This meeting demonstrated that beginner influencers can quickly become powerful storytellers when provided with the right support and knowledge. It became a platform where new voices emerged—voices that will continue to enhance community visibility, raise public awareness, and reduce stereotypes about LGBTIQ+ people.
The content created by the participants will be shared soon
