The Right Side NGO Team Participated in Council of Europe Events Dedicated to Equality, Non-Discrimination, and Combating Hate Speech

The team of Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO continues its active cooperation with the Council of Europe and the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, highly valuing the long-standing and effective partnership developed over the years in the fields of human rights, equality, and inclusion.

On 20 May 2026, the Programme Manager of Right Side NGO, A.J., participated in the workshop entitled “Reporting and Addressing Hate Speech and Sexism during Election Period in the Republic of Armenia”, organized by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia.

The workshop focused on the impact of hate speech, sexism, discrimination, and harmful narratives during electoral periods, as well as on mechanisms for prevention, reporting, and promoting inclusive public discourse. 

On 21 May 2026, the President of Right Side NGO, Lilit Martirosyan, participated in the 4th Technical Steering Committee Meeting of the Project “PGGIII: Promoting Equality and Non-Discrimination in Armenia”, implemented by the Council of Europe and the European Union.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the main achievements of the project’s third year, discussed regional cooperation efforts, and explored future activities aimed at promoting equality and combating discrimination, hate speech, and hate crimes affecting vulnerable communities.

The Right Side HRD NGO team highly appreciates participation in such important platforms and reaffirms its commitment to continuing cooperation with the Council of Europe to strengthen human rights, equality, and inclusion in Armenia.
