Lilit Martirosyan Was Elected Chair of the SWAN Board

Lilit Martirosyan, founder and president of Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO, has been elected Chair of the Board of SWAN – the Sex Workers’ Rights Advocacy Network. SWAN is a sex worker-led regional network operating in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It advocates for the human rights of sex workers of all genders and recognises their right to self-determination, health, and decision-making. The Board, composed of sex worker representatives from different regions and countries, is responsible for strategic planning and guiding the network’s direction.

Right Side, based in Armenia, is a proud member of SWAN and is the main voice of the sex worker community in the country. The organisation leads advocacy and provides essential, needs-based services, including legal, social, financial, and psychological support. This collaboration marks an important step forward and will strengthen efforts to advance the rights and well-being of sex workers across the region.
