Strengthening the Resilience of Trans-Led Community Organizations in the Region

A training on crisis preparedness and resilience-building was organized, with participation from trans activists representing six countries in the region.

  • A comprehensive research report titled “Legal Gender Recognition as a Human Right: The Situation in Armenia and Neighboring Countries” was developed and published in Armenian, English, and Russian.

  • A regional convening was held, bringing together trans activists from six countries to strengthen collaboration in the protection of trans rights.

  • Small grants were provided to participants of the training to implement national-level advocacy initiatives in their respective countries.

  • A social video was produced, highlighting the challenges faced by trans individuals and sharing personal stories.

  • A policy brief titled “How to Make Legal Gender Marker Change Procedures More Rights-Based and Safer for Trans People” was developed and presented to relevant stakeholders through targeted advocacy meetings.
