Educational and Awareness-Raising Activities Implemented in November–December 2025

In November and December 2025, Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO continued to implement community-based educational support initiatives aimed at enhancing the capacities of transgender and sex worker community members, increasing their awareness, and strengthening community connections.

On November 11 and 18, English language courses were organized, with a total of 19 participants. The courses aimed to support transgender and sex worker community members in developing their language skills, particularly enriching their vocabulary and improving communication abilities. The courses were conducted in a safe and supportive environment, where participants had the opportunity to express themselves freely and actively engage in the learning process. Participants showed high interest and engagement, resulting in noticeable improvements in English language knowledge and self-confidence. Interactive and practical methods were applied during the courses, promoting active participation and effective collaboration.

On November 25, a screening and discussion of the film Paris Is Burning was held, attended by 8 participants. Through the film, participants learned about the historical and cultural experiences of the transgender and queer communities, as well as developed their English listening and discussion skills. Following the screening, a discussion was organized where participants shared their thoughts and impressions.

On December 16, a solidarity evening was organized, attended by 10 participants. The event created a warm and safe environment where transgender and sex worker community members shared their stories and experiences, offering mutual support and encouragement. The gathering contributed to building trust, providing emotional support, and strengthening community connections.

On December 25, a film screening and discussion dedicated to sex workers was conducted, with 8 participants. The film addressed social issues related to sex work, human rights concerns, and challenges faced by the community. After the screening, a discussion was held, fostering increased awareness, exchange of opinions, and deeper mutual understanding within the community.

Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO will continue its work by creating safe and inclusive spaces where community members can grow, learn, and support one another.
