“Right Side” NGO is looking for an expert to develop a handbook on the rights of GBTIQ conscripts

Format of Work: Participation in an academy organized within the framework of the program in November, followed by remote collaboration with the program team.
Duration: November 20, 2025 – January 31, 2026

"Right Side" NGO, with the financial support of IWPR, plans to develop an informational manual titled "GBTIQ Conscripts' Rights: What You Need to Know," intended for GBTIQ individuals subject to the conscription process. The manual should present the processes, rights, and duties during conscription and serve as a practical guide for steps to be taken in cases of rights violations. It will be available both online and in print.

Objective and Scope of Work

The selected expert shall carry out the following tasks:

Participate in the Academy to be held in November and collect the issues and gaps raised by participants related to the rights and procedures concerning military conscripts.

Conduct an analysis in the following key areas:

1․relevant bodies and procedures to be applied during different stages of conscription,
2․rights and responsibilities of conscripts,
3․grounds for exemption or deferment,
4․possible cases of rights violations,
5․steps to be taken in case of violations.
6․Develop the content and structure of the handbook, using clear, accessible, and legally grounded language.
7․Collaborate with the project team to finalize the content of the handbook and ensure it is ready for publication and dissemination.

Deliverables

Methodology and data collection plan.
Analysis of issues collected during the academy.
Preliminary Content Structure (ToC).
Draft version of the manual for team review.
Final content ready for design and printing.
Checklist of requirements for the print package.

Timeline

Working Period: November 20, 2025 – January 2026
Final Content: January 31, 2026
Printing: March 2026

Required Qualifications

Experience in human rights or legal analysis.
Knowledge of conscription and military service legislation (will be considered an advantage).
Experience in developing guides or brochures.
Research and analytical skills.
Excellent command of Armenian and English.
Responsibility and ability to meet deadlines.
